Classes will start on Wednesday 25th January at Clarencefield Village at 6.30 as usual. This first night will be run as a ‘club night’. These went down really well last session and gave everyone time to catch up on UFO’s, PHD and ABC’s. Teaching classes will start on 1st February with a 4 block sampler done over four weeks.
A number of you asked for the Welcome Sampler to be repeated and that is also on the cards. We will discuss it at the first meeting to see if there are enough wanting to do it and what blocks you would like to put into your own personalised sampler quilt.
The shop will be open as usual from 10 – 4pm on Tuesday and Wednesday most weeks but give me ring to make sure I am in the country. I have a lot of visiting to do this year.
I am enjoying my role as Coordinator of the Quilters Guild in Scotland.. There are two regional days – one in May in Perth and the second in Glasgow in September both with great speakers. There is also a residential weekend in Stirling University in June with five international teachers. Let me know if you are interested in attending any of these and perhaps we could go as a group.
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and are looking forward to the new year.
